Your Production is of Great Value to the Consumer.  Thoroughly contemplate your WHOLE system of production. Good goals cannot be only physical production and distribution system efficiency and low-cost organic inputs.  Another good goal is to get the highest dollar for each ounce of production you can.  That most often means direct sales to the consumer. 

You have worked hard for your production.  Do not give it away for pennies on the dollar in large-volume negotiations.

Never, EVER Apologize for your Healthy, Local, Sustainable, Organic, Fresh Production!!

Contracts are two-way agreements. They want what you have & what you have is very valuable.

If you wish to sign that so-called iron-clad contract with a significant middle-man, MAKE SURE the buyer cannot back out for a few pennies’ less from your competitor.

Negotiate HARD! Get a lawyer. Worth every penny! You have a rare, valuable product – not just a commodity.
